With over 20 years of executive-level leadership in successful senior care organizations, Bill became Executive Director at Hermitage Richmond in September 2023. He has also held various community and corporate-level positions with Beth Sholom Home, Georgia Living Senior Care, and Ethica Health and Retirement Communities. A graduate of Wake Forest University, Bill earned his MBA from Georgia State University. He and his wife have three teenage sons and enjoy outdoor activities, exercising, exploring new restaurants, and home and garden projects.
Jennifer is a graduate of Longwood University with a degree in Therapeutic Recreation. She has served the Hermitage Richmond community in various roles since 2004. Jennifer’s interests include spending time with family, being outdoors and painting.
Doretha began her nursing career 30 years ago in New York City. After working for ten years as a CNA at Cedarfield Richmond, she became an LPN in 2008. She also obtained her Uniform Assessment Instrument and Individual Service Plan certificates and is a graduate of the LeadingAge Leadership Academy. Doretha genuinely loves caring for others and knew she was going to be a nurse from the time she was 16. That was when she took care of her grandmother, who had Alzheimer’s. Doretha spends her free time creating memories with her husband, children, and grandchildren or planning a celebration for someone she loves.
Phonya is a results-driven sales professional with over 18 years of sales experience. She is passionate about senior living and thoroughly enjoys helping seniors find their forever home. Named Sales and Marketing Director in January 2023, she takes pride in providing the best sales experience possible. Phonya earned a master’s degree in healthcare administration from Walden University. Additionally, she is a Certified Montessori Dementia Care Professional. In her free time, she enjoys exercising, traveling and spending time with her family. She is an Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority Incorporated member, volunteering in underserved communities.
Andrew has been with Hermitage Richmond for ten years. Before joining our team, he was employed at Beth Sholom Home for 20 years as the campus Housekeeping Director. Andrew attended Thomas Dale High School and graduated in 1978. He has a passion for basketball, and after playing at Lincoln Memorial University for four years, he coached basketball at L.C. Bird High School for ten years.
Tiffany began her career in senior living as an LPN Charge Nurse and is a licensed Assisted Living Administrator. She became an RN in 2022 and has worked in Skilled Nursing and Assisted Living. Tiffany enjoys time with family and friends, reading, stand-up comedy, and being outdoors, especially near the water.
Bruce is responsible for the maintenance and upkeep of Hermitage Richmond, including mechanical, electrical, plumbing, grounds, snow removal, life safety, and structural components, as well as most equipment used by various departments in their areas of operation. Bruce enjoys mountain biking, carpentry, fishing, hunting, and boating when not at Hermitage Richmond.
Jennifer has worked at Hermitage Richmond for over six years and brings over 30 years of experience in accounting, covering various industries. She began her career as a Federal Reserve Bank examiner, moved into commercial banking and then worked for an accounting firm. Jennifer loves her pets (currently one dog and two cats), family and the beach. She also loves to travel and work in her garden as time permits.
Aisha has been an executive level administrative professional for 25 years. As Valedictorian of her class at The Open High School, she spent her senior year working in the school’s office. After graduation she accepted her first position in state government; subsequently serving the commonwealth with the Dept. of Transportation, the Dept. of Social Services, and Virginia Commonwealth University. Aisha is a bit of a history buff who enjoys sharing her knowledge of Richmond’s storied past. She also has a knack for linguistics, studying Japanese in school, then adding conversational Spanish. In her free time, you’ll find her with family.
